Locals Supporting Locals
The Locals Supporting Locals program has been designed to bring the local community together so that we all help one another. Chef Damien Monley speaks daily with suppliers Jamie McDonald (Fratelli Fresh & Phesants Nest Produce) and seafood guru Con Nemitsas (Southern Fresh Seafood) to create the seasonally rotating menus which depend on locally sourced in season produce. Customers and farmers are encouraged to sell us their produce and be acknowledged on the menu eg “Barb’s Silverbeet...”. Another Bowral local, Leona Edmiston supplied us with a crop of persimmons which Damien made into a spiced persimmon chutney which are available for purchase in the restaurant.
